Welcome to North Wales Society of the Blind
Supporting people who live with sight loss
The North Wales Society of the Blind provides practical and emotional support to sight impaired and severely sight impaired people throughout North Wales.
Working with blind and partially sighted people of all ages, we endeavour to work together to promote independence, choice and confidence whilst also providing the essential services our members tell us are important to them.

Services & Support
In 2023 we will be celebrating 60 years since we started a ground breaking project to record Welsh language books. Over the years we have become a leading producer of Welsh audio books. Our aim is to enhance access and enjoyment of books for adults, children and young people with sight loss as well as providing an opportunity for individuals who find it difficult to to access print.
At present our books are available in libraries throughout Wales as CD or USB versions or on the Borrowbox download service.
