Police talk about fraud and scams
Community support officers from North Wales Police, Gethin and Huw, came to Colwyn Bay Club to talk about fraud and scams.
The club is run by the North Wales Society of the Blind.
Their visit was educational and eye-opening, as they shared advice on how to identify and avoid common scams.
Members asked many great questions, and the officers explained everything clearly, ensuring that everyone understood the risks and how to stay safe.
Different types of fraud were discussed, including phone and online scams, and practical tips were offered on what to do if something doesn’t feel right.
It was a very useful session, and the club is grateful to Gethin and Huw for taking the time to share their knowledge.
Fraudsters are always developing new tricks, so staying informed is essential.
Thanks to this session, members now feel more confident about protecting themselves.
