The club had a visit from Penmaenmawr Historical Society and Museum on the 27th of March. It was very interesting not only to hear about the history of Penmaenmawr and the quarry but to handle some artefacts too.
Welcome back to our Colwyn Bay social group members after the Christmas Holidays. You all braved the storms to meet up once again at 20 Station Road, Colwyn Bay. Polly the leader began the meeting by asking everyone to introduce themselves. It was great to hear all your stories. One member talked about the time when she turned 100 and had a letter from King Charles . Afterward we all sat and chatted until lunch time.
Recently we welcomed Jason from Visionaids to our social club in Colwyn Bay. He gave us demonstrations of new equipment that is available to help people with sight loss. It was a good opportunity to ask questions and try things out. Also Marian from the Macular Society called in to see the group.Everyone was pleased with the useful information and enjoyed the session.

04.12.24 Christmas dinner a great success for walking club
Over 30 members of the North Wales Society of the Blind’s Clwb cerdded Eryri walking club enjoyed our annual Christmas dinner today.
They travelled from across Gwynedd, Anglesey and Conwy to Clwb Rygbi Bethesda to celebrate another year of walking with the club.
The club is open to anyone living with sight loss. It offers an opportunity to regain independence and tread different paths in the company of new friends. There are great volunteers who can hold a conversation or offer a helping hand in guiding along the trails.
The tours take place on the third Wednesday of every month of the year and there is a bus to transport walkers and their guide dogs from our Bangor office to start the journey and back.
