Specially-carved pumpkin features Society’s logo
Today - October 31 - is the start of Halloween - the last day of the Celtic year.
Some elements of the old traditions such as the lighting of a lantern have continued to this day.
The lantern also forms the symbol of our Society’s logo.
Traditionally a meipen (turnip) was lit at this time of year before pumpkins became popular.
These are some of our pumpkins.
You are welcome to send us pictures of your own pumpkins to be shared and shown on our social media. Please send them as jpegs to hywel@nwsb.org.uk
