A lovely walk near Llyn Cefni and Bodffordd, Anglesey

23 walkers and six guide dogs came on our latest nice trip in the Bodffordd area, Anglesey.

The sun was shining beautifully and everyone was in a good mood as we traveled on the Dilwyn bus from Bangor on Wednesday morning, March 18th, 2026.

After taking a picture of the group with each other before starting the journey, we started walking 3.6 miles heading along the shores of Llyn Cefni.

We walked along a public path through the forest near the lake which supplies large areas of Anglesey including Porthaethwy and Llanfairpwll.

We then headed for Rhosmeirch before finishing the journey at Popty Pizza near Oriel Môn, Llangefni.

The path was firm and wide but, at times, you also had to be careful of the steep sides.

The last mile and a half followed pavement near the side of the road through Rhosmeirch up to Oriel Môn.

We received a warm welcome at Popty Pizza where we enjoyed our lunch on the outdoor tables.

There were also toilets at the end of the journey.

The bus came to collect us at 2 o'clock in order to return to Bangor and everyone enjoyed it once again.

Our next trips will be a little more challenging than the usual ones.
