Anest and Bethan from the Society visit Hafan Cefni

Anest and Bethan spent a day at Hafan Cefni, Llangefni, which is an independent living home where residents live in a safe and supportive environment.

They chatted with the residents and displayed useful equipment for people living with sight loss that can help them at home.

It was a busy day as they met members of the Sight Loss Group who meet every month and are continually growing as a group.

Anest, a rehabilitation officer with the North Wales Society of the Blind, said: “I enjoyed the day at Hafan Cefni. It was a pleasure to meet people we have supported previously and also to have the chance to meet new people.

“It was great to have the opportunity to discuss, and important to show what is available to support people living with sight loss, especially those who have not heard about the services we offer.

“I feel Hafan Cefni is a lovely setting to offer days like this with special and friendly staff.

“I look forward to another opportunity to meet people in the future.”

Bethan, who is an engagement officer with the Society, said: “It was really lovely to meet some of the residents of Hafan Cefni and show them what is available to help them live independently. The staff were very busy, but they took the time to chat with us and ask questions about our services.

“These days are so special because they provide an opportunity to meet people face to face.

“Many thanks to the staff for your warm welcome.”
