Appeal for new trustees to provide support for people living with sight loss

The North Wales Society of the Blind is keen to recruit new trustees to help us provide services for people living with sight loss.

We are looking for individuals who are willing to share their expertise and time to join the Board of Trustees.

A commitment of up to six hours per month is required.

The successful candidates will join an enthusiastic team including the chief executive, staff and volunteers to plan and deliver services for people living with sight loss across north Wales.

Services offered by the Society include:

  • Recording audiobooks and newspapers
  • Organising a number of groups and activities
  • Resources centre
  • Vision Rehabilitation specialist service
  • Information technology help and services

The Society is keen to accept applications from individuals from all backgrounds with a wide range of skills and experiences.

The Society was founded in 1882 by the Bishop of Bangor.

Our resources centre is at 325, High Street, Bangor.
