Arts and crafts session a huge success!
Half a dozen blind people and people living with sight loss attended the first arts and crafts session in Bangor.
Everyone enjoyed creating decorated and colourful flower pots.
There was a variety in the ages of the participants, with some in their 20s and others in their 80s and 90s!
Each session will be different. The sessions are held on the fourth Thursday of the month, with the first having been held last last Thursday July 24th, 2025.
The sessions are led by local artist, Lydia Fernandez-Arias and include painting, collage, tactile crafts and seasonal projects.
The sessions are free and available to anyone living with sight loss. No previous experience is required.
Tea, coffee and good company are always provided.
These sessions are an opportunity to explore creativity, build confidence, and connect with others in a relaxed and supportive environment.
