Bethan visits the Polish Village in Penrhos, Pwllheli

Last week, (17.4.26) Bethan Sage Williams visited the Polish Village in Penrhos, Pwllheli.

The Polish Housing Association transformed the former Air Force airfield in the 1940s, creating a small village of homes for Polish men and women who had decided to stay in the UK after the World War Two.

North Wales Society of the Blind engagement officer Bethan said: "It was a busy day. I spoke to the residents and showed useful equipment to help blind people and people living with sight loss.

"Everyone was extremely nice and they thought that the visit had been very useful for them.

"They are currently moving into their new homes which have been built nearby, and I have been invited to go back once everyone is settled - for a cup of tea and cake!"

Our next Information Day will be held at Hafan Cefni, Llangefni, on 09/06/26 which is an Independent Living schemes for Older People run by Clwyd Alyn Housing Association.

Come and join me at the main entrance between 10am-2pm.
