Do you use Arriva buses?

Do you use Arriva buses in Caernarfon, Bangor and Llandudno areas or surrounding areas?

The Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB) is looking for blind or partially blind people to join a relaxed session to share experiences and help make bus travel better for everyone.

It is a good opportunity to voice your experiences and help Arriva understand how to make their services more accessible throughout North Wales.

The sessions will be held between 10am-1pm at the Arriva bus depot or possibly at the bus station in Bangor on a date to be confirmed during the month of April.

Here's what will happen in the session:

  • A conversation with Arriva staff about the experience of travelling on the bus for people who are blind or partially blind.
  • An opportunity for the drivers to try on virtual headgear that shows how different eye conditions affect the travel experience.
  • A short trip on the bus to see how the drivers communicate and support passengers when getting around.

Please let us at the North Wales Society of the Blind know as soon as possible if you’d like to join the session by contacting bethan@nwsb.org.uk or calling 01248 353604

  • Bethan Sage Williams with Daniel Owen and his guide dog outside the Arriva bus
