Hiraeth, Lost Roots dance performance accessible for everybody living with sight loss

Dancers will spin and fly in the air in a performance accessible to everybody living with sight loss.

The Hiraeth, Lost Roots set will be interactive with an opportunity for people who are blind or living with sight loss to have a touch tour and meet the artists before two shows at Galeri, Caernarfon on August 16, 2025.

Angharad Jones from the Hedydd Dance Company said that their performance follows the four women on a "powerful journey of belonging."

Starting at the family dinner table the travellers venture across the sea, up mountains, through an ancient forest and washed up on the shore before being reclaimed by nature.

The four interweave personal stories with Celtic, Greek and Ukrainian legends.

The show includes live music and poetic narration by Eadyth Crawford.
