Ian to lead our next walk to Bodffordd, Ynys Môn

Our volunteer Ian Morris Jones has organised our next walk, on Wednesday, March 18th, 2026.

The 3.6 mile journey will start at Bodffordd, Ynys Môn before we will be walking along the shores of Llyn Cefni.

We will walk along a public path through the forest near the shores of Llyn Cefni.

We will then head to Rhosmeirch before finishing our walk at Oriel Môn, Llangefni.

The path is firm and wide but, at times, you have to be careful of the steep sides.

The path can be wet, so suitable shoes will be required.

You'll also need a raincoat!

The last mile and a half follows along a pavement near the side of the road through Rhosmeirch and on to Oriel Môn.

You have to be careful of the traffic along this section.

We have informed the cafe of the golf course near the side of the Oriel that we will call there at the end of our trip.

Toilets will be available at the Oriel at the end of the walk.

The bus will collect us from the Oriel at 2 o'clock to return to Bangor.

The North Wales Society of the Blind has organised transport leaving the office in Bangor at 10:30am.

If you would like to join us, please inform Bethan Sage Williams at the Society no later than Monday, March 9th so that we can confirm the numbers for the bus.

Next walks to follow:
15.4.26 Cwm Penamnen, Dolwyddelan with Ioan Davies, warden of Snowdonia National Park.
20.5.26 Cemlyn Nature Reserve (North Anglesey Coast) with Ben Stammers from the Wildlife Trust.
