Interesting walk despite the wind and rain!

21 walkers and three guide dogs came on our walk today around Llyn Padarn, Llanberis.

The route was originally planned to go from Dinorwig Quarry to Nant Peris, but due to the strong winds it was decided that it would be safer to change and walk around part of the lake instead. The wind was strong in our faces as we started from Pen Llyn near Brynrefail.

With one of our volunteers, Eurwyn Thomas, leading, we aimed for the shelter of the tunnel and reached the toilets on the lake shore. It was a nice respite to have lunch at the Lone Tree Café in the Glyn before walking on to the end of the 3.7 mile walk near the National Slate Museum, where our bus was waiting to take us back to Bangor.

Everyone had enjoyed each other's company despite the weather and we're all looking forward to next month's walk.
