Llyn Crafnant Circular Walk - Eryri Walking Club

Eryri Walking Club

We have arranged a circular walk around Llyn Crafnant. Our walk is nearly 3.5 miles long around  Llyn Crafnant above Trefriw in the Conwy Valley. The walk is mostly on a very good wide gravel path and a quiet unclassified tarmac road but there are a few short sections which can be muddy after heavy rain. The route is relatively flat with just a modest climb of around 150 feet to the head of the lake where we can stop and eat our lunches.
The NWSB are providing a coach which will leave the NWSB Bangor High Street offices at 10:15. There is also a pick up from the car park by the football field in Bethesda at 10:30. We have had permission to leave cars at the football club if this is easier for some.

We should arrive at Llyn Crafnant Car Park (SH 7561 6185) where there are public toilets at 11:15 and start our walk at 11:30.  Walking at a gentle pace we should be back in the car park for the bus to pick us up at 14:00.  We should be back at  Bangor around 15:00 hours.

Strong walking shoes or boots and waterproof clothing is also advised and don’t forget a packed lunch.
We will postpone the trip in the event of bad weather. If we need to make a decision to cancel, we will let you know by email and text by 8.am on the day of the walk.  Email bethan@nwsb.org.uk - could you include a mobile number where we can send text messages please.

Please can you let Bethan know as soon as possible if you intend joining us and include the following information:

  1. Will you be joining us on the walk ?

  2. Is there anyone coming with you?

  3. Do you need a sighted guide volunteer?

  4. Mobile phone number.

We look forward to your company.
