Thanks very much to Capel Seilo for £1,000 donation to the North Wales Society of the Blind

The North Wales Society of the Blind is very grateful to the members of Capel Seilo, Caernarfon for their valuable donation of £1,000 which will be a great boost.

The chapel members chose two charities to collect money for this year, the North Wales Society of the Blind and also the Prostate Cancer charity.

Both charities have received the same amount of money.

The money was raised by holding a Christmas Fair and coffee mornings with the Society's communications officer Hywel Trewyn present at one event to talk about the Society's work.

Today, (March 23, 2026) Hywel went to receive the money from five members of the chapel's executive committee, Dorothy Williams, Edwina Morgan, Eirwen Williams, Alwena Lewis and Marian Jones.

Edwina Morgan said: "It was nice to present the £1,000 to the North Wales Society of the Blind."

Alwena Lewis said: "We were very aware that some of the members of the chapel benefit greatly from the Society’s work."

Dorothy Williams added: "There are so many things offered (by the Society) to help people."

North Wales Society of the Blind chief executive Steven Thomas, said: “The Society is truly grateful to the members of Capel Seilo for their continued generosity and kindness.

"They have been our loyal friends for many years, and their support continues to make a big difference to the lives of people living with sight loss throughout north Wales.

We are truly indebted to them, and on behalf of everyone who has benefited from their generosity over the years, I would like to thank them from the bottom of my heart.
