Walk from Conwy to Llandudno

WEDNESDAY 19th OCTOBER 2022

We have arranged a walk from Conwy to Llandudno on Wednesday 19th October.  It’s a walk that the group has done before in 2015 and 2018.

The NWSB are providing us with a coach which will leave the NWSB Bangor High Street offices at 10:30 and arrive at Conwy Castle Square Bus stop at 11:00.

It is then a short stroll down to the quay where we will muster by the public conveniences before starting our walk at about 11:20.

For any members coming from the north or east of Llandudno, there is a regular bus service along the coast and we can arrange to meet members at the bus stop in Lancaster Square by the train station to help guide you to Conwy Quayside.

The walk is just about 4.5 miles long, along part of the Wales Coastal Path.  Most of the route is on the flat with good tarmac or hard core paving but there is a short section through the sand dunes as we approach Llandudno West Shore which is soft in places.

We can stop to eat our butties in a shelter on the promenade in Deganwy.

Strong walking shoes or boots and waterproof clothing is advised and don’t forget a packed lunch.

The coach will pick us up at 14:45 on the corner of Gloddaeth Street and Mostyn Street opposite the Palladium (Weatherspoons) and we should arrive back in Bangor around 15:30.

There is a café on the Llandudno West shore or we can call at Weatherspoons for some light refreshment before catching our coach back to Bangor.

Please can you let Bethan know as soon as possible if you intend joining us so we can make sure we have a suitable size coach and sufficient number of volunteers.  Bethan Sage Williams 01248 353604.
